Broadway Technology Hires 10 Developers and Engineers into its 2019 Training Program

Broadway’s Dojos graduate with a deep understanding of the FICC ecosystem; gain hands-on experience in developing complex technologies

New York – September 25, 2019 – Broadway Technology, a leading provider of high-performance fixed income and foreign exchange front-office solutions, has hired 10 developers and consultants into its rigorous and highly-competitive ‘Dojo’ training program.

The program, first launched in 2012, is designed to give exceptional graduates a path to developing complex, cross-asset solutions for global trading desks and deploying them among Broadway’s clientele, which features over 25 of the world’s top-50 banks. Over the course of the three-month program, these individuals are immersed in every aspect of the product lifecycle, from design, architecture, testing, release and support, with hands-on guidance from Broadway’s senior leadership. The program culminates in the presentation and live launch of the product by the class.

To date, 45 of the Dojo’s 65 graduates are employed by Broadway. Many have progressed into leadership and managerial roles, empowered by the entrepreneurial ethos of the program. The products developed through the Dojo have been among Broadway’s most successful, enabling the company to expand to new markets and grow business from major financial institutions.

“It’s rare for most entrants in trading technology to have such a solid impact on how institutions trade so early in their career. The Dojo program has been successful in attracting some of the sharpest minds from top universities because it provides such a unique opportunity to bring exceptional ideas to life,” said Raphie Nissan, Senior Consultant at Broadway Technology. “With the full support of our expert team, these talented engineers are given a sense of ownership over their professional development.”

2019 Dojo participants were selected from a pool of nearly 10,000 applicants, hailing from top universities including, MIT, Carnegie Mellon, UC Berkeley, Cornell, USC, Virginia, UT Austin and NYU.

Nissan said: “Much like a martial arts dojo, this program gives emerging engineers a curated space to master their skills through hands-on experience. To-date, each class has infused new ways of learning and thinking into our existing team’s set of knowledge. The outcomes of this program have further sharpened how we serve clients and enhance the performance of major trading departments.”

In addition, Broadway offers a similar Mini-Dojo for its new professional hires. The condensed program is based on the same curriculum presented in the Dojo program and provides new hires with an immersion into Broadway education over their first week of employment.
